The Journey: Step-by-Step Process

OUR TRACEABLE PRODUCTION

THE CHAIRS

DPO recover vintage furniture with architectural and design merit, like these original Hans Wegner chairs sourced from a Danish hotel. Each frame is selected for longevity and character - ready to be recrafted, not discarded.

THE LEATHER

SPOORs leather originates from locally-owned Scandinavian farms focused on animal welfare and sustainability. Every hide is individually tagged and can be traced back to the specific animal.

SPOOR TRACEABILITY

At SPOORs tanneries, hides undergo traditional, eco-conscious processing. This batch was rejected during final QC due to minor aesthetic flaws -but instead of being wasted, it is rescued and logged by Spoor’s traceability system.

REUPHOLSTERY

The next chapter begins with reupholstery and recrafting. Using Spoor’s traceable second-quality leather - originally rejected due to minor visual imperfections - we hand-finish each chair, extending its life by 20–30 years while preserving its timeless design story.

ON-CHAIN DATA

Each finished piece is quality-checked, tagged, and linked to a public on-chain record detailing sourcing, materials, craftsmanship, and environmental footprint - giving our clients and end-users full transparency.

OUR GOAL

Spoor and Design Preowned are on a mission to make circular furniture the new standard – not the exception.

By uniting repurposed materials and traceable leather with on-chain data, we enable low-impact choices with full data transparency.
